So ... my husband and I were making a recipe off of Wandering Chopsticks' food blog (my favorite food blog of the ones I frequent). I told him to pull up the recipe for coq au vin (French chicken with wine).

He tells me that he can't find it. He was searching for "coco van." Seriously. And the boy took 3 years of French. *shakes head* It took me a while to stop laughing at him.

Sooo ... I've been watching a lot more anime lately. I'm blaming post-con magic for this, since it really showed me that I've fallen behind. That being said, I must admit that I've taken a liking to Miyano Mamoru as a seiyuu. I think it was Zero in Vampire Knight that kind of pushed me over. So, now I'm busy watching Mamo anime. *_____* Although I'm anticipating the start of Vampire Knight Guilty, the anime I'm really looking forward to is Skip Beat! The main character is not the typical shoujo heroine, which is really refreshing. Long story short, YAY for anime! =D

It's called On The Run and seems to be kind of Western themed. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he comes out with, as I think that musically, he's absolutely amazing. I can't wait to hear how he works rural-Western into his style.

(Yes, for those who didn't know, I used to be quite the Yankees fan. I'm reconnecting with it this season ... although probably not for too much longer.)

I sometimes randomly go to aishuu's writing journal, because I absolutely fell in love "Brightly Burning" (the best Hikago AU fic). The smoothness of the text ... everything about it ... is what I aspired to be as a writer when I started writing fanfics.

Anywho, because of that journal, I ran across ihikago. (Maybe it was advertised earlier on igo_yaoi or hikago_yaoi and I missed it or forgot about it. *wonders*) Anywho, fanfic ... read aloud, ready for the downloading. I'm kinda excited to check these out. Tomorrow, though, tomorrow.

*waves hands* There's really no point to this entry, except to maybe let people know that it's available. I think it's kind of a neat idea.

Whew. It was a long week, and I only had to work 4 days.

I finally got to relax a little today, which is good. However, sometimes I think that I tend to waste my Fridays off. I watched the Simpsons, did a little writing (I wanted to do waaay more but got lazy), then proceeded to re-watch this K-drama. It's called Winter Sonata and is one great tragedy after another. (My boyfriend describes it as the series where nobody smiles.) Seriously, I bawled for hours today. It is the kind of drama that I wish I could put together; it is the sort of angst that I hope one day I am capable of dreaming up. *sigh*

It was kind of hard writing Happy!TutixNagayan after that. Seriously. *sheepish grin* I think I suck at writing happy things. Forgive me for the next few chapters, as I set up my next great tragedy.

*blows kisses* I miss all of my TxN girls. There hasn't been much chatting lately. =/ And I've been kind of worried about/swamped with work.

1) American Idol
I always say that I'm not going to watch it before it starts, because I remember getting sick of it by the end. Somehow I always find myself sucked into it. My favorite right now is someone who will probably be kicked off soon, as his performances have been weak. He's adorable though. *sigh* On a final note, if Antonella wins, I will never watch it again. *is determined*

2) Veronica Mars
Did I call it? Oooh, I was saying Tim was behind the Dean's death since he was KILLED. It just really couldn't have been anybody else. They kind of rushed the end, but I read that interview with the creator and he had said he was forced to cut 3 episodes down to 2. Hmm, I think that the series is more than halfway through, since they've killed Lamb. This makes me sad, as I will have to find another show to fill it's place.

3) Jay Chou
I've been really addicted to him on the piano lately. There are a couple of YouTube clips that I watch over and over.

Yes, as the left hand, he makes mistakes. It's nowhere near perfect, but it looks like he and the other guy (who apparently is known for playing classical music) are sight reading. THAT is what's amazing.
It's things like this that remind me that he's not just the king of CPop, but he is truly a musician. I really like that about him.

4) Hana Yori Dango drama
They messed up the SaraxNishikado thing. I mean, the important things were the same, but they messed up the circumstances. It's probably my favorite arc of the whole series (with the exception of the NY Hanazawa Rui arc), and they didn't do it right. *frustrated* Anywho, I'm off to watch ep 8. Let's see if this episode makes me cry. I've cried during every episode before this ... hahaha ... I'm such a baby.

I suppose it's my turn to update about the weekend. =) Although, since I lurker-ish tendencies, everyone on my f-list in the fandom was either (a) there or (b) have read a couple of reports already.

It was fun to be able to be completely nerdy without worrying about other people. We did things like celebrate Tuti's birthday (belated of course). Andandand of course we watched things, shared fandom related dreams, *thinks* I'm sure there was more.

This is worth mentioning - kooriyoukai really got me into a Hikaru no Go mood, like *________________*. She has THHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS much HikaAki/AkiHika doujinshi. I spread it all out and took a picture. Seriously, it's huge. I had so much fun going through all of them. =D

Umm, I'll post pictures later. I'm too lazy now. However, the other girls are the ones with the video recordings, so I'll let you get most of the craziness from them. =)
